For the record and to hopefully set this thread straight THIS IS NOT ABOUT RELIGION!!! take your anti-religion zealotry back to /r/atheism and focus on the discussion at hand:

Judge Edward R. Jordan, a Chicago Circuit Court, Domestic Relations Division judge, had previously issued a temporary court order banning Mr. Reyes from exposing his daughter to any non-Jewish religious practices..

The fact that a JUDGE was involved in telling what a parent can do with his/her child with regards to their upbringing is an abomination.
The fact that a JUDGE was involved in deciding the religion the child will learn (or not learn) IS EQUALLY AGAINST ANY CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHTS OF THIS COUNTRY! Is this what our founding fathers fought for?
The fact that the woman (and her family) are involved in a litigatory suit against her husband for going against her wishes is both asinine and are NOT responsible actions as a spouse.
The fact that if a man were to do the same thing would inexcusable and not tolerated on this sub so why the hell are you all up in arms because of the subject matter at hand?

Again, this story is about the injustices and over aggressive to the point of misandry (most likely stupidity and blatant disregard of respect on BOTH parties parts). No one parent has right over any of their children. He wants A and She wants B but the options are in no way the only choices. This is called a false dichotomy. Both parents are arguing over something that's not difficult to overcome.

The big problem here is that a woman is suing her husband over something she didn't want to happen! This is NOT supposed to even be in the court system to begin with and that's the point! Some woman suing over an event that is a ploy to gain control and UNEQUAL STANDING.

Isn't that what we're trying to establish? Equality?

One parent should never completely disregard the wishes of another parent.

He probably deserves criminal prosecution.
