What is a Men's Rights perspective of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens?

My perspective is that Havisham is stark raving mad. I'm not sure the issue is really subject to gender perspective.

I tried reading Great Expectations several times, but it never caught my attention the first couple of times. After I had the worst relationship of my life, I unconsciously went back and finished the book. I felt I had been with Estella, since she'd toyed with many men's hearts... including mine:

I had wooed her for three long years: three years in which she started dating other guys whenever I was available... only to dump the blokes when I wasn't. Whenever I was starting a relationship, she attempted to sabotage it. She had the nerve to ask me twice to dump my girlfriend -- and if I did, she'd dump his guy -- so we'd be together; to me, relationships were never 'a game'... so I never accepted her offer.

I did end up in a brief relationship with her... it started bad and only retrogressed into a complete sense of distrust (contrasting with a somewhat open and trusting friendship we'd had). I ended it after enduring three months.

After reading Great Expectations, I felt a bittersweet happiness that I had managed to escape my "Estella"...

I'm ashamed I haven't read it. I got lost in Tale of Two Cities, Bleak House, David Copperfield, and Old Curiosity Shop, and never made it to that one.
