The law actually says:

The moneys from the trust fund shall be used for the specific purpose of establishing and maintaining shelters for the victims of domestic violence, or a. for providing grants-in-aid to such shelters established by local governments or private nonprofit organizations;...

So, nothing sexist about the law (you can complain that it is a tax on marriage, and domestic violence also comes from outside of marriage, but I have a hard time getting angry about this).

You don't understand. This has nothing to do with being a sexiest law. I will put any amount of money that the fund is being raided by corrupt politicians to put into the coffers and line the pockets of any business or corporation or other politician looking to play ball and get other corrupt politicians elected. It's how it works in NJ.

There is something truly obscene about this. Try to fathom the malignancy and hatred of the minds that came up with this.

If you were even mildly superstitious you would never get married in the state of New Jersey, they put a 'curse' on your marriage.

My suggestion is that women pay for the marriage license seeing as how they will clearly benefit the most from it.
