TL;DR
How do you reconcile concepts like being social, commanding the conversation, holding frame and guarding/sculpting your own reputation.

The Question
I have the position in my social circle where im always telling stories about my sexual/romantic exploits/failures to entertain my friends. My older brother, who also introduced me to TRP has told me to cut that shit out. I'm inclined to agree with him, but im thinking of ways to use TRP Theory to try and cultivate a reputation that increases my SMV. Here's what going through my mind right now.

  • Bragging about my social exploits has the positive of increasing preselection, negative of garnering a reputation as a "player". Is being considered a player all that bad though

  • Allowing people access into my personal life puts me at a social disadvantage, where they know the details of my escapades, which they can possibly use against me or to sabotage my plates in the future.

*The context is a mixed group: the guys (who are BP) and the 3-4 girls that are in all in LTRs with either the guys in the group or guys outside. Women i have no intention of gaming because don't shit where you eat. I also have the reputation among the group as the story teller because im gearing up to be a novelist."

I would be glad if other RPers could assess this situation and add in any valuable input to how much or how little i should brag/tell stories.
