Saying men who are falsely accused of rape aren't victims is like saying women who were raped and dint report it also aren't victims either.

I think the problem is that society still has faith in the justice system. That 'innocent until proven guilty' still echoes through our heads. Even though we hear stories, every day, about glaringly obvious miscarriages of justice (the young girl who was 'mistaken' for a prostitute and charged when she 'resisted' arrest, for instance) we still somehow believe.

Through that lens, being falsely accused isn't that bad. Sure, it's inconvenient, but the idea that 'if you're innocent you'll be fine' prevails. (at least with those not that familiar with the system..)

It doesn't take a lot of study (or independent thought..) to realize that the system isn't working, and that the stigma associated with being a sex offender (even an alleged one) seriously damages (or destroys) the life of someone accused.

The fact that those falsely accused are victims and should be seen and treated as such doesn't make women who have been raped, and are disbelieved because of the bitches who cried wolf, less of victims.

However, I think the focus is wrong. The false accusations don't just hurt the men accused, or the women (and men) disbelieved, it also hurts the relationships between men and women. Possibly the relationship between mankind and womankind. So why aren't the obnoxious idiots who makes these false claims researched? Why is this done? Why does society accept it?

I know of a guy whose brother was accused of raping a girl. He later dated her, but they broke up. Who is she with now? Oh yes.. the brother that she accused. Guess they didn't think it was too serious. Guess they didn't think at all.
