What are good "out of the box" career paths for women?

I'm not sure if you're interested in getting further education or not, but some that come to mind are speech language pathology, occupational therapy, administration at a local university or community college, massage therapy, teaching, desk jobs/admin in city government, nonprofit management/administration. It'll also be important to consider healthcare packages and if careers will provide these for you or not (especially if you want to have children!) Hope this can give you a few ideas!

I highly recommend tech. I’ve been in tech (non-engineering) since graduating college, and I cannot tell you how fortunate I feel to have been able to build a career in this industry. The pay is fantastic, and the benefits are incredible. Although I don’t have children, I like knowing that one day I’ll be able to and get 4+ months maternity leave and other childcare benefits.

If you're willing to travel and have a bachelors degree... any degree is ok... TEFL in China or Vietnam. Good salary, not too long hours, you can build a good teaching career, explore a new culture and learn a new language.

Try and get an international school job that offers free/80－90% discount on tuition fees for your kids.

Or, try and get a university job where you'll only have to work 3 days a week, and you can get a fairly cheap sitter, and homeschool your kids the rest of the time.

If you have a partner, you could do university or public school for more time with your kids, and they could do a more lucrative international school.or private training centre where the hours are long but you can ask for more money.

You also get rent covered too, and possibly flights and visa costs as well.

Learn to teach adults, especially IELTS or TOEFL exam English, or get your Cambridge CELTA or Trinity College Certificate in TESOL, and you'll look even better and more employable.
