You have got to be kidding me, right?

The girl never asked for the ball. Neither the girl's mom or the boy's mom encouraged or even expected him to do that. They are in frank shock that he undertook such a nice gesture. And look at the way the little girl is gazing at the boy in disbelief and admiration.

He used his bigger size and reach to snag a ball and give it generously to a little girl, who wasn't big enough and strong enough to catch it on her own. He made EVERYBODY happy, and put himself in a situation where he was even more better off than if he had simply kept the ball for himself. Generous AND smart.
