Modern research shows that women actually run most relationships and most marriages, sometimes even using outward aggression to maintain control.

I actually wonder how common it was in the 1950s for the housewife to be the one in charge. Since people (wrongly) assume today that men are generally in charge, I wonder if our historical assumptions might be off as well.

That's pretty interesting actually. You almost never hear of female dominated households in these talking points. Odd.
