I'm pretty impressed myself that the guy actually cared for the girl and bought her a ring. To me it was more of a "you didnt have to buy me that to prove that you love me." To them it was more about the money than the message because thats what they see in a man. Money.

I see both sides of this argument honestly if somebody gives you a gift it's considered rude to instantly turn around and sell it even if that is to buy the person a gift in return

It doesn't mean that they see men as money or that they only care about the money
