Hey guys, apologies if this isn't allowed as it's not really *my* relationship. I am asking here because the community is very supportive and good with advice and aligns with my values. :)

Recently got into the world of ODL. Met a guy on an application. He seemed fishy to begin with, saying he had no social media, meeting up during the day as opposed to night was better, that sort of thing.

I do a little research (actually a lot, I like to prepare myself sorry not sorry), and find out he's using a fake name and has a girlfriend (I am 99% sure).

I have plenty of evidence at this point that is incriminating on his part. I haven't gone out with him (only a video call), but I have screenshots and the like.

I think *I* would want to know if my boyfriend were cheating (or having the intent to cheat, in this case), and I really hate cheaters to begin with, but after talking with my mother who is very conservative, she seems to think I should not tell the girl and just let things be. She is worried he will try to take revenge on me, the girl will not believe me, etc.

So, what do you all think? I want to do the right thing here.
