Hi allSometime back I saw someone posting about applying FDS on other aspects of our lives such as career, so I thought I could get some thoughts here. I’ve been trying to get a position abroad in another continent and had little luck. Recently through a connection, I got an interview at a company. Interviews were great. But they just came back with me with a really insulting salary offer. While I want to work abroad for exposure purpose so pay is not the top priority, I basically not having savings or even have to fork out my own money (at least not until 6 months later when I’ve settled down such as buying furniture etc). Moreover, the pay they were offering is a fresh grad pay, and I have 4 years of experiences. No other benefits if you wanna ask. Basically it felt insulting like they thought I’m desperate for a job in that country and offered me such bullshit. Of course, I would have turned down this job but on the other hand, it feels like this may be the only one that might come around and probably my own chance to get a job in that country. Would you all take this job and maybe find some other opportunities in that country while working? Basically I felt insulted with that offer so if I take that job, it wouldn’t go well down with me. The only positive thing about thai job is that it would make it easier for me to find a job in that country when I’m already there.
