Background: Was once a social kid but in highschool I became very anti social and distant from others. Developing a terrible case of social anxiety and unable to talk or hold a conversation with people I don't know. Thus this summer I decided to change etc..
So I've been working on socializing with people. Specifically 1 on 1 with people I don't know. But today I was exposed with a situation I didn't know how to deal with. My cousin had a graduation party. He invited his friends who all just graduated and knew each oth, I'm a year older. People introduced themselves to me. For 5 hours I just talked to my cousin and the people I know. I never introduced myself to others and when I left I only said goodbye to people I only knew well.
How should have I dealt with this situation. Also what's a good way for me to remember things like introductions myself, talking to others, and saying goodbye to people.
