Assholes tend to have a strong personality, that's why. Women like strength, in it's various forms. The opposite of an asshole is the pushover. Pushovers are the source of the saying "Nice guys finish last."

Really good video, up until she tries to talk about how men think:

"Think about it like this, do you want that one girl who always hits you up and always is talking to you and makes it too easy for you?"

If she's attractive? YES.

The only reason guys don't like clingers is because of the normally associated jealousy and drama. If you can get a girl who wants to be with you who isn't jealous and who doesn't try to start drama... damn. Most guys would be very happy with that.

The part that's key:

"If you are constantly texting us and hitting us up, you're not giving us an opportunity to amp you up in our crazy minds! By leaving us alone for a bit it forces our imagination to come up with things about you." (And if she likes you, these things are good.)
