So what exactly is your criteria of some girl having made it? Being a millionaire?

Go to nearly any government institution (post offices, banks, govt. administrative offices, airlines), you will see half the staff is usually female even at higher paying positions.

Private companies have quite a decent proportion of female employees, many of them are in very respectable, managerial positions and a good number being financially independent and also supporting their families (same goes for ones in govt. jobs as well)..

You make tall claims of most girls not opting for engineering or doctoral studies, PCB/PCM, et al fields. Could you back these up with verifiable data?

Living some 12-15 years of your younger/teenage years in India, I'm afraid, is not a good enough confirmation source on its own.

I am telling you once again.All the jobs that you have listed in your paragraph is not considered making it.Also for the second paragraph I cant give you data but I read a recent article from Times of India where the about 43 percent of STEM graduates were females but only 14 percent were participating in it.I can also prove it through my experience but I dont think you will consider it seeing your replies but I will say it anyway.Spanning those 12 years I studied in schools from 3 different economic classes and in all 3 of them most girls went for Commerce.Also you say that "lIvIng sOme 12-15 YEars oF yOUr YoUnGer/teEnaGe yEArs In indIa,i'M aFRaiD,Is noT a gOOD enOUgh cONfIrmaTIon sOUrce ON ITS oWn" but what are your qualifications and expreiences that give you the ability to question me and even after me replying,outright denying my explanation as a feeble confirmation.I replied to you,you dont wanna believe it dont believe it.

I believe your data and sources but not your interpretation based on the data. See the thing about stats is “facts don’t care about feelings” as Ben Shapiro says however facts can be wrongly interpreted based on data due to someone’s feelings , know what I’m getting at?

For example how western feminists came to conclusion that gender wage gap exists by just calculating annual incomes and averaging it not considering other factors that lend to gap in income and concluding with it being sexism.

I’m saying India is still conservative and it’s not that women don’t have opportunities to make it but many just don’t after marriage.

I read somewhere that more than half don’t return to work after marriage.

I’m not disagreeing with you I’m just saying sometimes stats give an ambiguous picture.

For example a study showed unmarried men less successful and unhappier than married men. You might think that this means marriage is a must for men and men need women to succeed and live longer. However this study was done by a conservative university to promote marriage which is dying out in the west.

On closer inspection it was found out that they were including divorces miserable men in “single” men category.

Also conveniently missing out the fact that married men earn more because they are FORCED to work multiple shifts or overtime because they have a family to care for.

Also the fact that case could be made that they were already more successful than most men hence found wives.
