I often notice that the comments section reacts very differently basis the person in question is a man or woman.

I can remember countless times the stories being carbon copies but people reacting very differently when the OP is a male vs when the OP is female.

I feel people are much more harsher when a woman complains about what her SO did and are ready to burn him the SO at the stake whereas always either making excuses or rationalising when a man writes the same.

One of the most common ones I’ve noticed is when a woman writes how her husband made her feel insecure somehow and basically the whole comment section basically becomes a roast of the guy. But when a man expresses he overheard his wife say something about him that killed his self esteem I observe replies like “OP you need to understand she genuinely loves you and you need to talk about this calmly with her”.

Basically when the guy is a jerk: dump his useless ass.

When the girl is a jerk : whatifs, maybe, rationalisations , sometimes straight up gaslighting.

And btw this is not just a bias I see female commenters do but a male one as well.

Have any of you guys noticed this?
