[Both a rant and question]While regardless I want to work in the medical field and in paediatrics but I can't decide between becoming a nurse or going to med school but now I find myself wanting to be a nurse more especially considering it's less competitive and there is a shortage of nurses in the NHS plus it's more hands-on and less of a desk job unlike a clinical setting and I want to work with inpatient stuff and the only medical school role I wanted was Anethsetist(In the US you can be a CRNA). But I am worried about discrimination in the role of being a children's nurse. If anyone has experience as a child nurse in the UK (outside of the UK is ok too) or knows someone like that is a male child nurse let me know. But I am having serious doubts know especially considering the horror stories I have heard about men getting assumed to be pedophiles in public and in childcare settings. Is it worth the risk?
