They think 1800 is less than a good pc? I got a 3060ti pc for 1300. Besides, a pc actually does stuff. Unlike a ring. I'd be more willing to spend 2k on a pc for my partner than 1800 for a ring.

Strictly speaking, a man is supposed to buy the engagement ring that he can afford. A woman gets to stfu about it until it's presented to her in the form of a marriage proposal. Then she can decide if she wants to marry him or not.

But she doesn't get input into the ring. Idk where this idea came from that women are allowed to have an opinion about the engagement ring. But it's just not true.
