I just moved to a new city and am integrating into a new circle of friends with lots of alpha guys and hot girls (most of them coupled up with the alpha guys). My friend Travis was my introduction to this group and is a natural alpha, spinning several plates, approaching girls relentlessly. He brought one of these plates on a camping trip, she and I hit it off before I realized she was with him. He recently got pissed at her and seems to have downgraded her. Meanwhile, she and I have a lot in common and have talked about rock climbing or camping together.

On one hand my friendship with Travis is more important to me than getting with this girl, but I also have a feeling he wouldn't really give a fuck if I did. I recently ended up on a tinder date with his twin brother's ex girlfriend and he told me he had fucked her after she broke up with his brother and I should go for it as well. Dude has amazing abundance mentality and doesn't seem to moralize sex. I get the impression he's fucked most of the girls in his social circle and remains friends with them after.

I hate playing things safe, I did that most of my life, but do you think it would be better to pass on this girl for the sake of not rocking the boat with this new friend group?
