For the entirety of the movie they talk and joke about castration.
One entire scene is about McCarthy's character mocking the police captain for not having balls, she throws (I think it's a fig) in his face, implying that's one of his balls, later she catches some guy on a fence and tells him "I hope your balls fucking rupture", later she holds a gun to a guy's balls and plays russian roullette with the gun to his balls, the entire scene is about how funny it is that the guy is being threatened with violent castration.

In the end Sandra Bullock shoots the antagonist in the balls twice as he's just standing there, in the middle of his sentence, it's a close up of the two bullets hitting his groin, blood splatters on his pants and all over the stuff he's standing next to, from the blood leaking hole in his pants.
He collapses.
It's not funny like in 21 jump street, just a realistic shot of a guy getting his genitals shot to pieces with two rounds.

ZERO reason to shoot him there. It's literally just to celebrate "girlpower", and violating a male in that way.
The female audience was roaring in the theater, I was literally in shock. I mean that, I had a very intense reaction of emotional shock to seeing that.
To me, this is on the same level as rape.
Am I insane?
Am I crazy for thinking that it's as violating, horrible and wrong as rape when a woman shoots a guy's balls to pieces to violate him as a male?
Am I crazy for being effected that strongly by seeing this, and the reaction of all the women in the audience?

I just can't get this out of my head. It's driving me insane.
