Covid 19 is so horrible that "we must vaccinate our children"... Covid19 has a death rate of 20 per 100,000 among children. first world infant male genital mutilation has a death rate of 9 per 100,000.

if parental rights can be challenged for an experimental medical procedure to hope to avoid a 0.02% chance of death to covid (ignoring all the risks of the vaccine), wouldn't it make sense to curtail parental rights over this?

I know I haven't smoothed out how to describe this comparison but if covid19 is this crazy serious, I would think something half as deadly to children would be at least a little serious.
