So the Brit awards have announced that their awards will be gender neutral for 2022, doing away with best male and best female awards and replacing with best British single, best album etc..

Completely understand why they've made this decision. It now focuses on the music and not who a person may identify as or how others may see them.

But! The cynical side of me know thinks it's impossible for a male to win one of these awards without someone complaining about a fix or privilege or some other nonsense that detracts from the fact that the winner probably actually deserved it!

I hope I'm wrong!
