For starters, i'm new around here. Have been reading somethings about this same issue for a while, but it's the first time i found a group on this subject.

So, i have never been interested lifting, going to gym or developing my body with any kind forced physical exercise to the goal of achieving a better condition, and i still don't. Nothing against it, but i find no appeal in pure exercise.

Rather, i've spent much time developing abilities/studying in posture, social behavior, studying people (either exemplary good or bad, or just average), how to create an impression in a group, interaction. I've interested myself in a lot of subjects, and know something about most common things a person would talk about. Learned to cook, to wash my clothes, to bake, to care of a house, everything i needed to take care of my own life by myself.

I started doing this while i was having very difficult social times, specially with women. I didn't understand them, what they wanted, and it was killing me. Then i followed those other interests to keep me from that pain and to up my social skills in a different way i suppose, looking back at myself.

Now i'm more aware of how things work. I'm still improving my ability to socialize, with women specially, but i find out that all things i've learned and studied in the past are coming very useful if well applied. It's a work in progress, but so far i feel like i'm doing fine, just got to keep the drive and objectives focused and work for them.

The question is, how does the physical development compare to mind development, in terms of results and effect? Excuse me as i'm not trying to to pick things apart or differentiate in terms of value, but i feel like body development is more immediate and mental does better in the long run, even though they optimally complete each other.

I may be posting a question from an invalid or wrong point of view, don't know, but anyways i had to do it.

TL/DR: Body and mind development, how are they different in results in your life and does it affect your way of behaving with other people?
