I asked my boyfriend if I could do his makeup multiple times in the past. He always said no. I recently asked again and he said okay, but I'm not going out in public. To which I said, "That is fine with me, but why not?"

I want to understand his side. He would not be hurting anyone. I know for a fact he can stand up for himself because he tells me stories from work when his boss or coworkers yells at him for something stupid he defends himself. So if he did go in public wearing makeup and he is afraid of getting made fun of why can't he just say something along the lines of "My girlfriend just did my makeup for fun and I think it looks great" to stand up for himself. I just don't understand why he cares what people think about makeup when he has bought and worn things from the women section of a store before, although they were not very feminine things, he still did that and did not care what people thought. I honestly find it attractive when men are willing and able to do feminine things without they masculinity being affected.
