A couple of weekends back, I met a girl on okCupid. I scheduled a date with her at a hotel bar. By the time we got to talking, it turned out that she wanted someone who was ready to settle down. Instead of ending the date, I texted my older cousin to join us.

This guy is an academically-inclined, mild-mannered, soft-spoken, fairly scrawny, essentially the opposite of the alpha male we all strive towards being. And the lady in question swallowed them up, hook, line and sinker. When he said, he's not very loud, they both moved to the edge of their seats and she listened intently. He brought a bottle of wine along to share with us -- I'm not sure how much it cost, but it was greater than 0. As their date was going well, I excused myself, asking him to text me when they were leaving.

When the text came and we got into her car (she'd offered both of us rides home), he was in the front seat with her driving, I was in the back. I observed their conversation. There was no teasing, just straightforward, honest talk. When she dropped us off, they'd scheduled a weekend to spend together.

What the hell? This guy acts the diametric opposite of being red pill. He is extremely street smart, much to smart to be taken for a ride by a gold digger -- he won't be BB at all. However, he doesn't exhibit any traits those in the RP-verse would find familiar.
