So this may not help as I've been drinking. But im a 21 yo male studying a civil engineering degree going into my last year at a good UK uni.

I've been in a relationship for 5 years (first gf I slept with) and definitely exhibited lots of beta tendencies throughout. We broke up in February and i slept with a few people and then ended up getting back together in May (discovering trp, she initiated getting back together a lot) Since then it's been quite fun, lots of sex etc.

I've done 2 summer internships at engineering companies and I'm not sure it's for me. And, as pathetic as it may sound, I feel like I need some advice and support from a community that have their heads screwed on. I've been researching a lot of careers like investment banking for chasing the money, but im worried I'll be unhappy even if I am earning a lot as the work life balance isn't great?

When I was single, I enjoyed that time as I only had to worry about me. However at the moment I feel so deflated and feel like I'm struggling with a sense of purpose, and I don't know whether my confusion over career choice, or relationships is creating that.

I grew up with a single mother, so a lot of this trp stuff I have had to learn. But I guess my main question is, has anyone gone through a period in their life where they just don't have a f****ING clue what they're doing?

As some background, I play competitive football for uni, I have lifted for 4 years and am in fairly good shape (though never stuck to a programme)

Realise this is a wussy question, but my older brothers are all busy and I feel like I could do with some advice from fellow men who have been through what I am feeling. Any advice on getting through this slump, and has anyone been through the same?
