Remember: infant/child circumcision is, always has been, and will be about controlling the sexuality of men and boys. It's rooted in outdated and harmful social constructs about purity, beauty, and modesty. Not just ritual circumcision, even the ~~medical~~ cosmetic non-ritual circumcision done in hospitals.
