First things first, I know a lot of you here aren't going to bother to read the entire post and assume I'm implying something that I'm not. I am not talking about angry guys who are ugly and struggle romantically taking it out on women. I'm NOT talking about that at all. The VAST MAJORITY of gun owners DO NOT shoot up random women and schools. What I AM talking about here is what we can learn from history, in which male gun owners do lash out against those in positions of power.

I don't mean to sound so doom and gloom here but when a man realizes that he has no prospects in life and nothing to lose (women, children, his parents are really old or dead), he can become extremely dangerous.

I understand that the more masculine men are more capable of being dangerous but likewise they are more attractive and more likely to have offspring. This would make things seem better but the dominance gradient is not steady and linear, it's extremely top heavy.

I know part of the reason why so many people are buying guns and ammo is because of the covid lockdowns and social unrest but there was plenty of it being sold prior to all of that, it's just that as of lately, it's been older folks who do have children, women and those that would otherwise not be interested. Before it was just single men with disposable income doing it as a hobby (most gun owners, like myself, don't even hunt animals.

History has taught us that when cornered, humans and animals alike will lash out (men much more than women) quite violently.
