A medical student saddled with debt recently filed a lawsuit against Dartmouth after being expelled for nonconsensual sexual contact. Like so many Title IX cases, this case involves a night of heavy drinking. Unlike many, it involves two male students.

I thought this might be an interesting post to share because we don't hear too much about Title IX-related accusations in same-sex relationships. Dartmouth has been sued by accused students at least seven times. 98% of accused students who file lawsuits alleging their rights have been violated in Title IX proceedings are male.

They need to completely re-do the way these investigations and judgments are made. The 51% standard is complete garbage. There should be discovery for the defendant. The accused’s name should be protected as well. The whole thing is a joke. There is too much room for false allegations and biases against a defendant. It ends in a shorty investigation that any one can poke holes in and then the whole thing resurfaces in the media further traumatizing the victims.
