So this gal has the gall to write a letter complaining that hubby asks her how her day was. Yeah, how dare he do what women say they want.

But let's read between the lines. He's the primary caregiver and she's greeting him at the door in PJs with a filthy house. Somewhere in her id she knows this is dereliction of duty. Hubby is too beta to care, just wants to know how her day went... but it doesn't matter, she feels bad, so he must be fuckin' up.

Now imagine if he actually called her out on her shit. "I work 10 hours and you greet me in PJs? Heels and a ribbon, bitch." (or some nicer-phrased version of the same). What would happen? They could have a good row about it, fight 2 or 3 times, there's a good chance she'd actually get dressed up once he made an issue about it.

Having done so, she'd feel better about herself in the process. Instead he supplicates, she slouches, she feels bad for slouching, blames him for the feelbad. You can't win.
