In these times of war, comments of the lines of "Brave men shall defend our women and children" are common, which is ironic because the Nationalistic duty was discouraged for decades, but now it is being promoted back as convenient... but that is another issue.

Before saying further, we shall disavow and discourage violence as much as possible, but interfering in a violent act is by itself a huge risk.

Most women often don't realize how dangerous fights between men are. You can lose an eye, become disabled, or be stabbed to death. Rarely anyone interferes because the danger and people around may even "encourage" it, unlike fights between women, which are milder, and often are stopped by people around.

It is important to defend people we love, but that does not mean random women are entitled to protection from men around if they are not an authority. In the past, the social contract did not depend as much on institutions, but today, all is institutionalized and there is no real community that considers you a man or honorable or anything. My point is that Men have nothing to gain by defending random women from violence anymore, and they have a lot to lose. If anything, an out-of-context tiktok may them even look as idiots with hero complex by just intervening, at best, and at worst as idiot "simps" for intervening.

It is very sad society has reached this point of atomization, but men are very utilitarian and they are realizing this before women.
