Just throwing in the point that those big companies don't really care about women on women's day, they just advertise it, support and acknowledge it to gather attention of insecure women/feminists. Its a show off that the more you spread awareness about women's day the more feminist you are. They couldn't care less. Same doesn't happen for men's day because men don't need appreciation for merely existing. Everyday is a woman's day, everyday is a man's day, everyday is a toddler's day. Its a nice have to have a day to talk about a set of problems so its not bad to have a dedicated women's day or a men's day. But its just capitalists making money off of your emotions again. Which is literally everyday.

No its dumb. It less meaningless than Valentine's day. It doesn't actually do anything useful. No one cares about Womens day, even less will care about Mens Day. Its just something we can say "what about us..." I'd rather spend energy on something important. I'm all for equality, but this is something trivial. A Google Doodle doesn't mean anything.

Google obviously don't want to do it by their own free will. So, anything else would be coercion. On the big, big list where men don't receive the same treatment as women, not having an equivalent doodle probably comes pretty near the bottom. It does, however, enable identification of those who don't care about male issues, and never will. Let them keep flying their flags for the moment.
