This is an excuse often used by trads and feminist to justify that conscription is not that terrible or unfair and that men gain something from it.
First, hearing that from women is totally disgusting. They are not conscripted but try to teach men about their experiences. Moreover, why do women do not run to volunteer if it has so much benefits ?
Second, they simply say "benefits" but never goes into details. They will never be able to list a single benefit that cannot be obtained by men simply going on with their studies or work. They will also list benefits that are almost spiritual or ones that cannot be transposed to gain in men’s life.
Third, what benefits can make up for loosing your liberty, going through military training and being drafted in time of war ?
Fourth, if conscription has so much benefits, why do feminists complain about "wage gap" or more men in higher positions ? It is all due to the benefits of conscription !
