Something I realized as early as 8th grade, when a guy and a girl have problems and it doesn't work out, it is assumed that the dude was the one in the wrong and that the woman is the victim. Sad.

My experience was the opposite, maybe I live in a place that is just a circus and not full-on clown world yet. Maybe it's because I did the dumping. Who knows. Maybe the person doing the dumping gets the consolation prize.

Anyway, after the breakup, a couple came over and asked me if I was okay and bought me another beer. Best breakup ever.
