This meme may be low effort but it did trigger me a little as my first ever girlfriend was constantly comparing me to her ex - comparing our grad schemes (his was better) and saying I’d look really good (I think she carefully avoided saying “better”) if I went to the gym. He was a gym rat - I think to the point that it annoyed her

In hindsight she also shared some traits I now associate with at least some users of FDS.

She clearly was constantly second guessing her choice in me as I didn’t have previous experience dating. She was obviously wondering why (concerns over lack of pre-selection). I got away with it because she witnessed first hand a few times where girls where apparently into me and I was just oblivious to it (her included). How I wish that was the case now! But it clearly still bugged her

She was also at the point we were dating all about qualifications but under achieving and obsessed with a relationship timeline

She had a STEM degree and was presumably doing the sums and working out that I wouldn’t be out earning her to a significant degree. I mention this because to me the two largest groups in FDS appear to be (controversial part coming up):

angry obese African American women who spend fortunes on clothes, hair, nails and skin products but not on getting in shape. “Lipstick on a pig” syndrome
women with STEM qualifications, seemingly mostly from a south Asian background. This can be inferred by their disdain for the men of their “own group” who they really do see as bottom of the barrel regardless of their jobs and perfect for being a late stage beta provider whilst they try chasing the coder bros and the like (and fail - hence FDS)

I say this coming from neither racial background but it just seems to be the case. Especially when you add in that black manosphere creators often try to call out their fellow black men who will date very fat white women and claim things like “look at that ass though”. So it seems like those women are still getting attention to an extent. The two groups I mentioned - not as much

Great analysis! I would only add my senior observations that the FDS brand appears to be a rebranding of The Rules and general white female, ("Karen"), entitlement thinking of the 1970's and 1980's with a particular twist for the demographics you list above. Back then, "Karens" leveraged their high SMV and entitlement attitude to marry a Beta Bux as quickly as possible via denying him sex and extracting token gifts from him to rope him into emotional and financial commitment.

This worked because the environment back then was more sexually chaste (not as much as the 1950's, of course) but nonetheless blue pilled men fell for it. Also, divorce and single motherhood were still comparatively rare. A friend of my wife complained that "American men are spooked."

I don't want to give away openly for why "FDS" doesn't work today (because one of them may be reading this) and reverse engineer how to get it to work in the modern climate, but I'll merely say that it's a different world today and particularly for the demographic groups practicing it. A pretty, young white woman who practices FDS to land a beta bucks will succeed if only because she has the market leverage to do so. It's like me bragging I figured out how to buy a pizza with a thousand dollars in my pocket.

FDS adherents claim that they're enforcing traditional femininity and family values, but their sites are full of man-hating feminism and alpha chad chasing.

I think it's safe to say openly that the difference FDS and PUA is that PUA's advocate a fully scientific approach including harsh criticism of themselves while FDS calls for a sort of Tinkerbell thinking where denial, faith, and "good" feelings should create their own reality. In other words, their own version of the blue pill.

Was your wife’s friend’s comment about men being spooked talking about the current situation ?

On the sources of FDS - I didn’t know most of the sources. You missed the Steve Harvey 90 day rule - which is most definitely not a white woman thing

But it is funny that to me most of their “rules” now just look like they have been modified and are male red pill stuff that are largely gender swapped even if they literally don’t work that way around. It is why I initially wondered if the whole thing was a troll by a guy pretending to be a woman but i don’t think it is/was.

You are right that FDS and indeed women posting on the dating and relationship subs are devoid of any self reflection. The latter ones just don’t want to hear or accept it. The FDS women deny that is even exists as a concept. There is literally zero room for self criticism otherwise you are accused of being a “pickme”. You know the thing about pick-me’s? They get picked. It isn’t hard

It is for that reason that I think you are giving them far too much credit when you fear “reverse engineering”. These are women who refuse to admit fault. The way they could succeed is by understanding what men want and providing it. And they are unwilling and/or unable to do that

Even if the “trick” was to fake it until hooking someone - almost all of them just can’t do it. It’s against a their narrative

I agree that the whole purpose of their 'strategy' is to to get their narrative reaffirmed. The narrative, and acceptance by their feminine hivemind, matters more than anything: Their kid(s), future happiness, etc. As the line goes on Pretty Woman: They want "the fairy tale."

I fret that they might just develop enough cunning, or at least desperation, to develop a modicum of game.

Fortunately, for us, most of their game, heck the primary purpose of it, is to trash relationships the microsecond the man fails one of their shit tests which is a good thing for us particularly those of us that want to have families and relationships. The very basis of their narrative is that men should consider themselves fortunate to get a frigid golddigger.

Regarding the 90 day rule. It's laughable, particularly in that community, when these women have gotten stuff from men and "owe" him something, know what I mean, and if he says the "chemistry" isn't there, is she going to cut him loose and go for a beta who puts up with such a rule but she has ZERO attraction to?

In the film, Love Stinks, the protagonist gets around the 3 date FDS rule of the time (back in the 90's) and buys her "three dates" that night as he says the wedding he met at was a date, the hot dog at the gas station, and then he takes her for a drink. Or as Roosh would call it: "Venue change." So men hack FDS all the time.

Game is ultimately a man's response to "The Rules" from the 1940's. They started this war, we'll finish it.

First off, my apologies for not answering your question. I got all caught up in the moment. My wife's friend is referring to the current "situation" in the states at least. Her friend is about 45 and so her dating pool consists of men in their 40's and beyond and those guys if they survived that long know what a barracuda such as her is up to. That being said, she does have useful advice at times. I refer to her as "akula."

Anyhoo, I think the logic is for the women that if the man goes through the mating ritual and she can tell her friends, or FDS site later, that she followed The Rules, then she is cleared. For us men, the purpose of rules is to achieve an objective: To get in shape, earn more money, etc. The very point of "strategy". For women, the "strategy" is, itself, a means unto an end. The definition of whether she succeeded or not playing hopscotch or chess. The game for them is what matters.

We hear, for instance, that men "enjoy" being the pursuer, paying for stuff, and being a protector but IMO that's brainwashing. If a pretty woman falls into your lap and doesn't require you to go through those hoops, do you reject her for the fun of a "challenge" for a plain FDS girl?

On the other hand, amusingly, it's red pill wisdom for men to realize women PREFER men with "standards" or demands because weak beta males who fall for FDS repulse even FDS women. I stumbled onto this wisdom like a drunk guy winning the lottery 30 years ago.

I’d never noticed that from occasional forays but it makes sense since I know they are what extreme progressives would call “swerfs” (anti sex work). And swerfs and terfs are usually lumped together. I expect there is a lot overlap but not completely

I guess they must restrict it to comments and / or do a sufficient amount of trashing white men that they can get away with it?

For example I think they steer clear of posting things like rants about a guy they consider high value picking a transwoman who acts feminine (and presumably passes) over them with their massive amounts of body fat and bad attitudes . Probably because even that circumstance is likely extremely rare

If it does happen to start happening (I don’t see it) and they start making headline screes about it then they just might have a problem. But not yet
