The importance of providing reliable information is crucial in helping men in finding help. Two years ago when you searched for terms like 'male abused' 'I am abused as a man' and so on, you always ended up with hotlines and pages only aimed at woman. Now things have improved and I now only see that eu-funded page on top providing help for females when searching these terms (seriously EU, what the hell are you doing? Only providing help for women, when men are exposed to violence at equal rates). The other sites on the first google page actually deal with the topic of abused males.

It is important that when you search for these kind of terms, that you only visit the right pages and when you enter a page that does not provide accurate information (like 99% of the abuse is commited by men), that you leave as fast as possible, giving google and other search engines a signal that you dislike the page and that it does not fit with what you are looking for. When you notice a page providing good information, go to that page, skipping unreliable looking pages and read as much as possible on pages with the right info. This will help the searching algorithms of google in the future, placing relevant pages higher in the search rankings and hence helping men in distress, letting them now they are not alone and that what they experience is real.

My experience:

I myself have written this article in dutch (sorry self-promotion ;-) ) backed-up by scientific reliable data and studies. It will be translated pretty good, using google translate, due to dutch being close to the english language:

https://mens-en-samenleving.infonu.nl/man-en-vrouw/200367-mannenmishandeling-door-vrouwen.html

It discusses the abuse of men by females. Currently it ranks third when you search for the dutch-term of male abuse (mannenmishandeling). I saw that the amount of visitors doubled once reaching this position. So ramping up the right pages via visiting and keep on reading on relevant pages with correct information is important.
