I feel like right now the republicans in power all are way too focused on “traditional values” which basically eliminates any chance of mra issues being achieved simply because they’ll just tell you to toughen up, be a man etc. Most of the politicians I see in power would also seem to scoff at the idea of men being raped/abused. Not to say the democrats are any better (imo their liberal feminist laws are actively taking away from men so there’s that).

It’s just so crazy to me that a 12 year old boy can impregnate a 17 year old girl (his babysitter) and still be forced to pay child support, like what in the actual fuck? I could get raped, impregnate the rapist and still be forced to pay for their kid. Another issue I see — why is the US custody system so messed up? If you ask me, it should be a 50/50 split as the default unless there are special circumstances.

Now as you can probably tell, I don’t see any chance of having the issues I mentioned (and any other mra issue for that matter) fixed in the near future because the people in power are either catering to feminists and screwing men over completely or they’re overly traditional and mock mens issues. I’m hoping that eventually the republican partty will have some mra influence from millennials and gen z’ers in communities like this one. I’ve spoken to many younger men (and even some women) who agree with a lot of this stuff and that gives me some hope for the future.
