A “coach” is a fake title anyone can claim. There’s no certification or exam or degree. It’s the poor man’s licensed psychologist.

While there is no degree for it, there are plenty of certification options for legit coaching that can help others determine if you're serious about it, actually want to make a name for yourself, and help legit coaches stand out from the frauds. But anything is better than what these frauds dish out because more often than not they:

Don't even use their real names and are hiding and commiting their fraud and abuse using a false identity, which is oddly nearly identical to what the now jailed and convicted "self-help coach", Keith Raniere, did to soooooo many people
Aren't trained by trained and degreed people themselves
Often just subscribe to a MLM coaching program that as far as we've seen doesn't run tests on the materials to see if the coach-in-training understands and fully comprehends the materials and damage they can cause for not taking it seriously, if they take any training at all
Edit things like screenshots of their inboxes FuLL Of wOmEn they show you to falsely legitimize their program
Rent their fancy cars they show off and actively trash on others who don't own one
Teach men how to perform love scams, coersive control, mental abuse, and/or actual legitimate brainwashing tactics which are actually illegal and punishable in some areas, let alone dangerous, because their targets often have lives and careers outside of the Red Pill/PUA's tactics that are put at substantial risk if their victims cannot get themselves out of the 'hamster brain' (which I learned from my own professional was actually just the 'reptilian brain'), which cOinCidenTiaLLy control, say, a person's "automatic self-preserving behavior patterns" (I wonder why this belongs as a dating strategy at all)
Don't teach the importance of consent and boundaries (especially in the PUA world)
Show them how to hide their mental health issues, personality disorders, and mental illnesses while calling them names and shaming them if they seek out professional care for getting them checked out and maintained with medication (if they need it)
Teach and tell their students to actively hide behavioural modification, psychological, and non-consentual BDSM master/slave techniques (that in the legit BDSM community teach the vital importance of informed consent for damn good reasons)
Teach psychological strategies that can be incredibly dangerous for untrained people to perform especially if their target already struggles with mental health, affects of abuse, etc.

The list is vast. But yeah, "work on yourself and lift weights, Bro."

Most of them are complete frauds (and yes, that's what it is) and just a modern version of the old snake oil salesmen. Most vulnerable people who have actually mustered up enough strength to finally admit they need help from a coach don't realize it until it's too late and they've ruined relationships, have been labeled an abuser by their victims, face legal issues, lose friends, etc.

The biggest problem with these "coaches" is they do not teach both sides of the coin. Yes, you can learn strategies that can make getting laid easier, but then what are your victims dealing with when the strategies are used on them? Are they even considered safe to perform? Do they tell you they can cause depression (which can cause her to get in trouble at her job and maybe even fired)?

I could put another list here, but generally FDS was built from that and while I agree that they took that pain and are only furthering the damage on the world, the facts remain that hundreds of thousands of women and men were massively hurt by the fraudulent coaching (which is finally, years later, getting exposed for what it really is).

This is no longer a "men's rights" or "feminism" issue. This is scammers vs. their victims. Both men and women are hurt by some of the deeper things they teach. This is a society-wide problem that needs to be corrected, but the first step will be to see beyond the "us vs. them" rhetoric from both sides and actually be mad at the fraudulent coaches and not the learner or their victims via proxy, join forces, and expose the ones that do the most damage. If they're legit, they have nothing to fear. Call this a simple auditing process of the dating world. ;)

This thread might be bad but as a lifestyle/ dating coach getting started I would like to put my two cents in. While there really is no degree for being a dating coach, there is no better teacher then quality real world experience. I can definitely spot coaches that have not put the work in, but for people like myself who started out lacking a social life and had to put in the reps and put yourself out there over and over again to overcome the anxiety, rejection, and lack of confidence, it is amazing to be able to teach people the skill. Lives are changed when men who could barely talk to a female friend can now confidently walk up to a stranger and ask them out in a bold but respectful manner. That level of confidence also helps in every other area of life including friendships, work/ business, and personal growth. I agree some dating coaches are scam artists but I can say that they are few and far between. Most of us have a true passion for helping people and want to see good men winding up with good partners. Otherwise, the sad reality is many good men never develop the skill and will spend the rest of their lives alone, or unhappily married to a woman that they settled for.

In my opinion Hamza 'debunked' (sort of) these coaches in a video. Look up ''Red pill youtubers are traumatized''. Essentially he's right. These guys talk about women in this manner because they've suffered childhood traumas and haven't recovered ever since.

THEY are the ones who should receive help, instead of pretending to offer it to other men, because they're just projecting their insecurities, therefore poisoning men's minds.
