How do I deal with this?

Spend a lot of time with a woman before you ever think about being intimate.

Unless you are excellent at reading body language, you will have difficulty maintaining a relationship.

Internet dating advice used to be "Be attractive. Don't be unattractive." I miss those simple days.

Found the post. He choked her without consent, became very aggressive in his language, and continued to push her for more than just a hand job even after she said that's all she wanted to do.

The top 2 posts did not say to report it and the third said report in case he has done this with other women and there's a pattern. Not file charges, just report it.

The fact that a woman reporting a man for choking her without consent makes you think women are terrible is...off putting.

Also, why leave out the part about the choking? Seems like a big deal? Was that on purpose?

You do not have the responsibility to make her feel comfortable. You can't make anyone feel comfortable. So don't be a doormat trying to do so.

You do have responsibility to find out if she is crazy or not and stay away form crazy ones.

This is a very strong example of some of the riskier behavior people engage in during casual sex encounters. You should not worry about this type of thing unless you are specifically seeking it out. Don't get into compromising situations unless you have established a relationship of trust, flirtation, and mutual attraction. Most reliably with someone you are actually dating, not someone you just met.

Try to always communicate your feelings and be open to them communicating theirs. The situation described above could have easily been avoided if the woman just spoke openly about how she felt. And I've never met a guy that wasn't willing to pull back and make her comfortable in those situations. You both want to have sex, just work with each other to make it happen.

And if you can't completely trust the person you are about to have sex with, don't. Trust is becoming the single most powerful commodity in literally all social transactions between men and women. Build it slowly, carefully, and with absolute honesty. And you will never have anything to worry about. Relationships might not come as quick and heated, but they'll be more meaningful and last longer.

What does society expect after decades of little sexual education, no relationship education, prohibiting educational sex porn that might show what standard society expects, and leaving it up to private porn to present whatever they like as "normal" sex in the resulting vacuum?

There has been a consistent pushback over male sexuality and the reality that most men are only after sex initially, whilst most women are after a relationship primarily but with sex when they feel more comfortable. Men and women are after different things, so each is using strategies to get what they want against resistance. Until we acknowledge this reality and work towards a win-win solution, then sex is going to continually go off the rails with women being coerced, men teased and frustrated and endless criminal cases.
