I have seen so many conflicting opinions on social media here on The Red Pill. Some say you need to use it, some say avoid it like the plague.

I am 21 years old and in college, and have a Facebook and an Instagram. With Facebook, I keep things pretty private, not much activity, mostly just have it to keep up with events and stay in touch with people.

Now with Instagram however, I use it as a way to share my hobby, which is photography. I do mainly landscape and city type stuff and never post casual pictures or "social proof" pictures. I get around 100 likes per picture, and always encourage friends and people I meet in real life to follow me, and make my profile public. The one thing I can say I am proud of from using it is that I got one of my pictures as a full 2 page spread in a local magazine, and that got come attention outside social media when someone from one of my classes found it.

But honestly, is this helping my SMV, just neutral, or maybe harmful because form my social media it looks like I have zero social life. I recently deleted all the apps off my phone for a little monk mode, and had been pondering this the last few weeks.
