I'll preface this by saying you should still improve yourself, regardless of what women think.

I want to suggest a thought experiment. What if every single man woke up tomorrow and was 1 foot taller than they were before. How do you think this would change the dating market? I personally believe it would have zero effect on anything. Women would update their minimum requirement from 6 ft to 7 ft and nothing else would change. Women don't care about the objective reality of what a man's value is, but rather how he compares to other men. Women will always pursue men in the top 10% or 20% regardless of her value, and when men improve themselves, women's' standards will raise by the exact same amount.

I bring up the example of height because it actually happened. Not overnight, of course, but over a hundred years or so average height did go up by around 6-12 inches and women's standards adjusted based on this. However it's the exact same for any other way that women evaluate men, whether that be muscles/money/status/etc.

The point here is that self-improvement, while a good thing, is not a solution for the issues society is facing today. Self improvement only works because most men aren't doing it. By all means do improve yourself and enjoy your life but keep in mind that we need systemic, societal changes or we will face collapse, because what is happening right now is not sustainable.
