It will kill lower smv males. Will make female hypergamy even more focused and alot of men will literally become obsolete. Many will become loners and resort to porn and Vidya. There will be alot more Elliot Rogers.

Although I appreciate the concept of some AI technology such as self-driving cars, I feel as if some such as robots made for sexual use and robots doing all the work are going to create a weaker society and soon having children won't mean anything because being human doesn't mean anything.

Machines are capable of doing more and more true, but it's not true AI. There will still be billions of things normal people can do to earn money. THey just work for us. I think you have enough conspiray theories to think about already dude

AI is one of the most overrated things in the world.

I build machine learning systems, and it's unreal how difficult it is to create a system that fully replicates the strengths of the human brain without also incurring its weaknesses. Good AI systems are highly specific and generally best used for shockingly repetitive tasks or ones that needs to be done at insanely high speeds.

There's a lot of room left in the world for humans. Will the extreme dullards be totally fucked? Maybe. We'll have to see how well those McDonald's jobs hold up, I suppose.

However, I'd point out that the costs society has incurred from the dullards dropping out have already been priced in pretty heavily when you look at the labor force participation rate.

As for the collapse of civilization . . . puh-lease, bitch. Stop reading sci-fi. People have been predicting the collapse of Western Civilization since the moment it became clear it was a dominant force in the world. At this stage, the collapse of civilization is a masturbation fantasy propagated by people who don't like civilization in its current form.

AI and Robotics have the capability to go either way.

I forget the name, but there is a call center AI that within like a 90 day test period.

Went from being able to solve 1 out of 10 trouble calls by itself, to like 6 or 7 out of 10.

In multiple different languages.

So between self-driving cars, trucks and call centers. Think of how many jobs will be at risk within the next 10 years.

Facebook recently had to shut down two AI robots, because they developed and started speaking their own language.

They were able to figure out what happened (the coders didn't provide an incentive for using English) but they still don't know what the robots were saying I don't believe.

Pretty much 1 of 3 things can happen in the long run.

We develop AI, but we fuck it up and it takes over and wipes us out. -Terminator
We develop AI, but the corporations and government are greedy fucks, and the majority of the human race suffers -Hunger Games
Everything goes good, we build a Utopia with replicators and Vulcan chicks that look like T'pol. -Star Trek

AI is used globally right now, just not in ways you see out front.

AI won't sink civilization unless it runs nukes.

AI will boost civilization's output but make the individual people gradually dumber as they let machines think for them.
