I'm just wondering why even try to approach a woman at all if the odds are high in favor of you coming off as one of those annoying guys that hit on her.

I know alot of girls who get hit on all the time and complain to me about how annoying it is. (I don't feel that way but tbf I'm a about average looking guy so I don't really have any experience getting asked out outside of pranks.) So why is there any reason to shoot your shot with a girl if it's more than likely to annoy her? Unless you're Micheal B Jordan or Steph Curry. Than you can break those rules.

“Go up to her.” “Make a move.” “Shoot your shot.” “Ask her out.” “The worst she can say is no.”

Men are told this from both other men and women. And yet, it’s terrible advice. Why? Because men as a majority are not going to be attractive to women. You might feel like you're making her day. You're not. She just wants to leave. She only feels it's ballsy and attractive if the guy is already attractive.

You should only shoot your shot if you're reaching below your standards or if the woman shows HEAVY signs that she REALLY likes you. Other than that don't bother. And don't be confused for a girl who is naturally flirty. They usually are in it just for the thrills and don't usually like you. This is the type of girl most guys fall for because most guys don't have women openly flirting with them.
