The existence of Red Pill Christianity is the first evidence that the Red Pill can be integrated into Christianity. Thousands of Christians have swallowed the Red Pill without critically having to abandon their faith. Pretty amazing. What’s more amazing - although not surprising - is that there appears to be between the Red Pill and Christianity a tremendous synergy. This synergy can be seen in various ways, but one broad way to see it, is to understand that “living your purpose” means “living like Christ.”

We don't put on an "RP Lens" to Scriptural interpretation. We take off the "Feminized Lens" that everyone else is wearing, then interpret Scripture without that bias. This leads to many similar conclusions, but a few extremely significant different ones too.

To be abundantly clear: there are MANY commentaries that will preach the same things we do. But again, one of our principles is relevant here: Watch what people do, not what they say. This is a twist on the "Do as I say, not as I do" motto that's become a popular joke about churches - because many pastors will not live out what they preach. In this sense, you may READ many commentaries that preach proper principles of marriage, sexuality, headship, etc. - but good luck finding a body that actually practices them. Congregations will pay lip service to Scripture, but conform their behaviors to culture.

and my general summary:

We are not Christians incorporating RP into our beliefs. We believe what the Bible says.

We may use RP terms to communicate certain concepts if they agree with what the Bible says, especially to men coming over from the secular subs. Think Paul and Mars Hill.

The vast majority of accusatory posts from other Christians show quite readily they don't understand anything about us. Straw man arguments confusing the secular manosphere with what we do here.

I came away from going through a bunch of RP stuff with the conclusion that it's fundamental concept was that it was after the truth, even if it was uncomfortable, inconvenient, or harsh, primarily on the topic of intergender dynamics.

In the movie, "The Matrix" when Morpheus asks Neo to choose between the red pill and blue pill, he promises him the truth, not a mission or purpose. That's how the movement got the name. It's what made "The Matrix" different from the more typical story of a hero's journey where the protagonist begins his quest.

Hi there. The topic of "Red Pill can be integrated into Christianity" has already been beaten to death here, so I won't rehash that other than to say we aren't integrating anything. We're merely showing where the overlap exists, especially as it stands in contrast to the things mass-culture promulgates.

What I'm more interested in is where you say:

Purpose breaks down into particularities and is different for everyone: someone can be a fireman, an artist, a lawyer - we all have different purposes

I used to conflate "career" and "purpose" too. It's assume your career is your purpose because you spend so much time in it and it often-times derives from your talents and gives a pressure to create your identity around it.

As Christians, our identity is in Christ and our purpose is the one he gave us: "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." That's our purpose. It is not different for every person. It is singular, as Paul says in Philippians 2, "Make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in Spirit and purpose."

Now, that doesn't mean we don't have unique angles for making disciples. We do. That comes from our spiritual gifts, mainly - though talents, hobbies, career skills, etc. can all funnel in as well. Someone who is spiritually gifted as a teacher will find people to disciple among his students, but must still learn how to show them mercy, practice hospitality, model strength of faith, shepherd them, etc., even if those are not their gifts. Likewise, someone spiritually gifted in hospitality may use their home as an opportunity to invite others over who will eventually be discipled - but they must still be willing and able to teach them, pray with them, help them, exhort them, encourage them, etc., even if those aren't technically their gifts. If we add in career paths, it just means plumbers may have opportunities to share Christ with others who have leaky pipes, or lawyers may find people in need of legal help who are also in need of help following Christ to disciple. You don't disciple someone by being their lawyer, but being their lawyer could very well provide you an opportunity to disciple them.

Christ knew and lived his purpose with impeccability. He said, “For this purpose I have come!”

Absolutely! And he also told us what purpose he would give to anyone who claims to be his follower: "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." This was the very beginning of his ministry. The entirety of his ministry was showing him how to do that. In his last supper before his death and resurrection, he taught repeatedly the importance of their fulfilling this mission. Even after he died, at his ascent his final words were to "make disciples of all nations." In every step of his path with the 12, he was passing on the purpose that we ought to become "fishers of men" for His Kingdom :)

When we live our purpose, we live a life that mirrors Christ

Yes - but only if our purpose also mirror's Christ's purposes. Christ's purpose was to build a Kingdom set apart for God. He did this first through his death and resurrection so that Kingdom could exist at all, and second through discipling those nearest to him so they could, in turn, disciple others as the "firstfruits" (as Paul calls them) of the Kingdom he was building, which we now call the Church (capital C). The "For this purpose have I come" verse you quoted is in John 12. If you keep reading clear on through 12:32, just a few verses later, you see the conclusion of that purpose: "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." That was his purpose. And our purpose, as given by Him, is to draw others to Him also. That purpose must be what "mirrors Christ."

Overall, good thoughts. I'm glad to see you thinking about these things. Just some little nudges here on further ways to expand on some of the ideas you started.
