So, I am a transgender man. I have my Gender Recognition Certificate which means I am legally male and recognised as such by the government and the law.

When you get the GRC it comes with documentatiom detailing everything that changes for you.

So id imagine, if it came to it, I would also be drafted, and I'd imagine the opposite would also be true for transwomen (once they have their GRC they can't be drafted). I am in the UK though so idk if this is even relevant to your post.

End of the day either everyone should get drafted or nobody should, regardless of gender.

Let's be frank for a moment. If you are a drafted male, there is a good chance you're going to end up in the infantry. Infantry is pretty demanding physically, heavy rucksacks, long marches, brutal physical training. Most women just don't have the physical endurance to make it.

If you take someone that used to be a man, depending on how much surgical work has been done then there's a pretty good chance they could pack the gear and get the job done. I doubt they'd put someone with C cup tits in an infantry unit (zero privacy) but short of that, you wash off the lipstick and shave their heads and Jodie becomes Jody once again.

The fallacy of taking someone born female with a glued on dick and thinking they're going to hump a 80 pound ruck and a weapon for 10-15 miles in 100 degrees and then engage in armed combat is absurd. They aren't going to be getting any HRT so what muscles they do have are not going to develop and stay developed like they need to.

Most of the government can afford to believe in fantasies, the military can't. If they force a bunch of these folks into combat arms, you'll probably see them in units like the "99th Landmine Finders" or the "69th Parachute Testing Group" where they can't screw up things for the real army.
