When a woman tells you to "be yourself", she is saying:"Put all your cards on the table so I can accurately evaluate you and determine whether you would satisfy my hypergamous urges or not."

In that context, "be yourself" is effective only to the man whose SMV far exceeds the SMV of the woman doing the evaluation.

Telling you to "be yourself" is also a way of social control.That means:"You are enough.Do not improve.Just go with the flow.DO NOT QUESTION THE SYSTEM!"

That is why women are uncomfortable with TRP.There is nothing more threatening to a female-primary social order than men who are aware of their own value to women and society in general, and who understand the inner workings of the female mind.

No.

What makes you think this person is doing anything other than telling you regurgitated female-acceptable BP lies?

Look.... 99% of advice out there will tell you "be a good little beta for women, ask nothing for yourself, sacrifice everything". They'll dangle the carrot of meeting "the one", then send you off into the world to be eviscerated on the blade of female hypergamy. Then when it all goes horrifically wrong they'll tell you "you weren't yourself enough" or "you need to be more vulnerable" or "she wasn't the one, try again!".

It's horseshit, and it's designed SPECIFICALLY to benefit women, not men. Men and women are DIFFERENT. Male dating advice will concentrate on getting you sex and not giving her resources or commitment. This is effective and women respect it, but denies her security, money, commitment, therefore women (and most betas) will ATTACK this advice as shameful, wrong, sexist, mysoginistic.

The reality is that RP advice is for men, and the rest of the world is for women and for men to serve women.

Sounds like something my uber super conservative Christian uncle would say. Not to mention a chunk of Billy betas in my life.

Anyways, I'd spin plates, and find someone better in my opinion unless you got some religious differences that prohibits that. Plus I've met some cool ass women this way. Some of dumped me because they are going to try monogamy with some dude that they've plated lol. Guess who calls back in a couple of months.

Just depends if you want monogamy or non-monogamy. You can have a LTR either way just depends if you want to do (recommend in my book). However, do what makes you happy.

What will actually bring a quality LTR is loyalty, integrity and caring. What we settle for, it seems (I won't) is looking for having a bullshit situation where we don't expect loyalty or caring and prolonging it as long as possible because, supposedly, something makes it worth it. Maybe sex? Maybe validation?

In the end that's not worth it to me but that's personal. Everyone's different. Finding women (and them finding men) who believe in integrity and loyalty but also being attractive is almost impossible it seems.
