You are not obligated to fulfill a man’s needs and a man is also not obligated to fulfill your needs either. We would love to. But not for a stranger because your presence alone isn’t good enough to entitle you to chivalry or a gentleman anymore. Men need much more human connection in the form of affection and intimacy. It is ingrained within our biology. This will never change. Men and women have different biology therefore different needs. So to continue to employ 1980’s dating strategies and expect a different result is either insanity or pure delusion. A man is not interested in a woman if she’s not already intimately invested in him. Why? Because an intimately invested woman’s attraction is genuine and does not lie. She has weeks and months of vetting her dates through text, FaceTime, social media, etc before ever making any official contact in real life. But then to meet him for only coffee and just some chit chat? That would be disrespectful to a man’s time since he’s already had plenty of long term committed relationships in the past initiated by intimacy upon introduction. Stop gaslighting a man into believing you’re interested in a relationship with him if you don’t even consider his needs. Is it men that are awful? Or is it your approach to dating that is awful? Remember, you are not obligated to fulfill a man’s needs and a man is also not obligated to fulfill your needs either... Take some self reflection. You can follow human nature and biological programming to find your mate or you can feel empowered in your own solidarity. The choice is yours.
