Anyone here go thru a divorce with children in Kansas in the last few years?

Just working thru the process. Wife and I are trying to agree on everything. She doesnt really understand how much I am offering her. My question was going to be about CS. I just paid a lawyer to run the formula and I am offering to pay more then she is entilted to. Trying to figure out how she can stay in the house without refinancing. Trying to see if she can assume the loan at this time. I want my name off it all if im leaving the home.

Kansas is an Equitable Distribution state. It also has a funny little law regarding property (real estate). By law, all property is becomes jointly owned. Even if you owned a piece of land before marriage, and never used it for marital purposes, as soon as you married your wife, she became a joint owner.
