Wondering if anyone's run into this: I met a pretty hot girl, great chemistry, "date" for about 2 months, which includes hot monkey sex, but also attending events and a double date or two. At this stage, you can tell you are both pretty into each other, and you are silently thinking maybe allowing her a little more of your time. Then next thing you know she freaks out and breaks it off? It was as if she was reading my mind and wanted to pre-empt any further progress of our relationship - completely out of the blue. She later says she was freaking out over becoming more emotionally attached, and she needs to move on to someone else. She did almost the same thing with me last summer, so I'm not too surprised and I sort of anticipated it at some point other than that there were no warning signs this time whatsoever. I've read that this is behavior indicative of those who've had some sort of attachment/childhood trauma...and become extremely fearful of getting emotionally attached, so they basically run and hide/sabotage the relationship once they start to develop feelings for you....they call them dismissive-avoidant types. I feel better that I understand it, but it's a bizarre way for a plate to flake. Just wondering if anyone has experienced that?
