Seems all our states and territories are jumping on this bandwagon lately. 90.5 Rebel Rock station (Logan, Queensland based) constantly plugs an ad that begins with "it takes a fine man to whip up an awesome barbie, but it takes an even finer man to admit when he's not feeling like Mr Perfect". There's a huge obsession in this country with caling men weak and inferior for exercising their right to privacy. It's disgusting and it's projection for the following reasons

There are cops who laugh at men and boys who attempt to report female rapists. I am not the only man who has dealt with this
All cops operate on the Duluth Model and mock men and boys who attempt to report abusive mothers, wives and girlfriends. Once again, I'm not the only man who has dealt with this. Yes, some cops fail to help female survivors, but an even larger number of cops outright refuse to help male survivors even when that cop is well within the law, and therefore is lawfully obligated to help this man
Nearly 100% of the domestic violence support goes to women and girls, very little for boys, almost none for grown men. Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is currently trying to cut down what little DV support men even have because nearly all is still not enough, apparently
Therapists shame men, especially neurodivergent men, for what they've suffered, or for being affected by childhood trauma in adulthood, sometimes even enduring wrongful diagnosis with BPD
Borderline Personality behaviour in women is normalised here and defended here, while BPD blokes are shamed and drugged. Men suffering from Borderline Exposure are shamed for leaving BPD girlfriends, even when that BPD girlfriend is cheating, emotionally abusive, physically abusive, sexually abusive and all of the above. Borderline Exposure, despite being a valid and proven psychological phenomenon, is dismissed because it's a predominently male issue
Boys are treated like defective girls in all of primary and secondary schooling. School councillors do their jobs just fine for female students, but shame male students and violate confidentiality. One high school in the state of Victoria actually forced its male students to apologise to their female peers and teachers for their gender
In sex ed, my high school only educated us on female consent. We were told right to our faces that male consent is a given, doesn't matter and that an erection inherently indicates male consent. We were also told that a man cannot be raped by a woman when drunk because a man "is only too drunk to have sex when his dick doesn't work"
We hold the majority of homeless population, and majority of homeless support goes to women and girls
We are the majority of cancer patients and cancer mortality, yet majority of cancer funding goes to women
There is a huge bias against us in education system grading, tertiary education admittance, entry level hospitality and retail hiring, promotion and expections of behaviour, performance and appearance. We hold the majority of unlawful and unfair dismissals
Australia scrapped blind hiring because the results didn't fall in line with female supremacy: "Leaders of the Australian public service will today be told to hit pause on blind recruitment trials, which many believed would increase the number of women in senior positions. Blind recruitment means recruiters cannot tell the gender of candidates because those details are removed from applications.
