How do you deal with a woman who raises her voice and talks back at you at work for no reason?

It's like she expects me not to say shit back. I'm always in control and never react. Yesterday a woman I work with was saying some shit in front of me about the job, I joined the conversation and because she didn't like what I said, she raised her voice and talk back at me like a whinny bitch.

She was basically expecting eveyone to let her rant. But that's not the issue, the issue is how she reacted: she crossed the line and I felt like I should have told her to fuck off/shut the fuck up the same way she did, but something tells me it would have been a mistake.

So, if a woman gets out of line, at work, how do you handle her?
